Almaty, 15 October 2011

A night at the Oscars.

Almaty International Women’s Club in partnership with ROTARY CLUB OF ALMATY performed a grandiose charitable ball – a night at the Oscars! Business elite of our country participated in the event and supported it by charitable contributions, lottery and auction prizes. All funds raised will go to three main sources:

  • School #6. A school which provides all aspects of care for children with physical and intellectual disabilities. The money will be spent for medical treatment of children, meals and utilities.
  • The Organization of shelters in Almaty in community with the Association of non-governmental organizations. They help to the victims of human trafficking.
  • “Daneker” project, initiated by non-governmental Fund DARA supporting the organizations for the orphans and disabled children.

There are many social projects that were successfully delivered in Kazakhstan by Almaty International Women’s Club, established in 1994 with more than 200 members from 55 countries and Rotary Club of Almaty, having celebrated its 15th anniversary in Kazakhstan last year with more than 1 200 000 members all over the world.

Volunteers from different countries of different occupations and skills living and working in Kazakhstan are united with common mission of serving the community. They understand the importance of charity and their social responsibility.

High society events aimed to raise the funds for charitable projects are always supported by business community in Kazakhstan.
